Fake It Til' You Make It

Ok, so here’s the deal. You won’t like it but a tan is actually a sign of damaged skin. As much as having darker skin can make you look healthier, more attractive, slimmer and highlights muscular definition, the downside of excessive sun exposure can out-way the positives.

Feeling The Burn

When I was younger and hanging out with friends on the beach, applying suntan lotion was unthinkable. It was seen as ‘unmanly’ and effeminate. I have ginger hair, very pale skin and burn easily yet I refused to use sunscreen for fear of being ridiculed and standing out like a sore thumb! As a result I suffered terrible sunburn on numerous occasions.

Coconut oil: you’ll be (coco)nuts not to use it!

If you want to take your skincare to another level then coconut oil is the way to go. I happened to stumble across it by chance about five years ago in my local health food shop and using coconut oil has literally transformed my complexion. My skin looks fresh, dewy and nourished.

I always make time to eat a great breakfast as it really sets my energy levels up for the day ahead especially if I’m hitting the gym.
